Custom Saya (wooden sheath)

A Saya is a Japanese wooden sheath. It's an important part of the knife because it protects the blade during transport, keeps the edge away from other blades, reduces the risk of cutting ourself and looks cool. For my sayas, I use Tulip wood (Liriodendron tulipifera), as it's straight grain and light yellowish color. Because it's a soft wood it doesn't scratch the polish on the blade. 

The saya is carved to fit your blade only. A pin come to secure the knife or to release it. Please note that the wood may present some color and texture variation. 

Select the blades's size of the knife you ordered (from the heel to the tip). Between 80mm to 160mm for shorter blades, 170mm to 220mm for medium blades and more than 230mm for longer blades.
